Instructor Emily Hansen has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley, and a Master of Science degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Sarah Lawrence College. She has performed with many artists including Katie Faulkner, Lisa Wymore, Amara Tabor-Smith and Joe Landini, and is a Dance Instructor at East Bay Center for the Performing Arts. This is a beginner level dance class. Through exercises, students develop skills that produce poise, flexibility, core strength, balance, body connectivity, musicality, and spacing. Students also work to create and memorize choreography to express ideas and tell stories through dance in collaboration with their classmates and instructor.
